Your TTC Stories!

I would love for you to share your TTC journey with me, and hopefully we can build up a support network of us Baby dreamers! Post your story so far on here and may this page be blessed and sprinkled with tons and tons of baby dust 🙂

  1. We’ve been trying for #1 for 10 months and suffered a miscarriage early in the year. I started acupuncture a few months ago and now I’m ovulating around CD16 instead of 21, so that’s good news! Hoping we can secure a sticky bean before the one year mark. I started blogging with a friend who is struggling with secondary infertility at http://www.twogoodeggsblog.wordpress.com. This is such a crazy journey! Love your blog! 🙂

  2. Hiya! Just followed you from over on Netmums. We’ve been TTC actively for 4 months – so Oct will be month 5 – but stopped using contraception from May after we got married. Can’t believe we were so careful about NOT getting pregnant before our wedding – we’re Catholics, wouldn’t have looked good! 😉 – and now discover that it’s bloody difficult to actually get pregnant! Wish we’d just gone for it the moment he proposed – could have hidden the bump under the dress! Oh well, hopefully we’ll see a positive result soon.
Used OPKs last month, discovered that I ovulate later than thought – CD17 last month – so am hoping that we’re upping our chances again this month by using preseed.
My DH tells me to stop ‘intellectualising’ TTC, but I’m a product designer so used to analysing problems and researching solutions. Sadly I am coming to accept that this is out of my control. Clearly I’m a terrible control freak and have not realised this about myself before!!!
Thanks for writing this blog, it’s good to know you’re not alone in the ups and downs and selfishness and bitterness and hoping and despairing.
Wishing you all the luck in the world xxx

    • Hayley thank you so much for sharing your story! it is so crazy how you avoid getting pregnant for so many years and then spend so many trying to get pregnant, funny world. It is so heart warming to know that there are others out there who are going through similar situations, it makes me feel less nutty and not so much on my own. This blog has been very therapeutic for me so far, so i’m really enjoying it!
I know exactly what you mean about being in control, I have been blessed with this characteristic too…oh the joys it brings.
I really hope we can both share some positive news very soon 🙂 Debs xxx
